The purpose of the project is to support Government of Tanzania (GoT) efforts to increase access to high quality Comprehensive and integrated health services, especially for women and youth, with focus on HIV, TB, maternal, neonatal Child and reproductive health and nutrition outcomes.
Senior Advisor-PMTCT/EID Services-Dar es Salaam
Responsible for providing technical direction for the strengthening of evidence based, locally relevant strategies and implementations for Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) and Early intent Diagnosis (EID) program, as per Boresha Afya Project results framework. Overseeing implementation and reporting of PMTCT/EID activities; Providing technical direction to enhance successful integration of PMTCT/EID and RMCH/FP services within the project, and monitoring delivery of integrated interventions; Ensuring implementation of key facility and community interventions of the project work plan for PMTCT and EID such as pregnancy screening at community level, early and effective referral active, and developing follow up procedures for multiple antenatal visits through male involvement and innovative mobile approaches,ANC HIV Testing male partner testing, STI screening, LLAPLA initiation and ART adherence services, identification, testing, care and follow up of HEI and linkage to Pediatric ART services it necessary; Monitoring, tracking and Analyzing PMTCT/EID performance leading capacity
- building interventions i.e. supportive supervisions and mentorship collaborating with facility and community QI teams to strengthen the quality improvement systems for PMTCT interventions. documenting project results and impacts interventions. Documenting project results and impacts.
Requirements
MB.BS/MD or similar degree with 3-5 years ‘relevant experience in public health program implementation which includes 3 Years ‘experience with TB and TB/HIV program planning and implementation at the national or regional level working with Public and NGO/CBO sectors: MPH is an advantage working knowledge of major donor PMTCT policies (e.g. PEPFAR) and well as national Health sector and PMTCT policies and strategies, Le. HSSP IV and national MTCT and treatment guidance demonstrated technical, supervisory, leadership and networking skills in designing, implementing and reporting MTCT/EID projects at national or regional level E Background in integrated MCH services Experience of working with the Relevant units and programmes at national and regional level in planning, training and program implementation Experience and understanding the use of routine program data on MTOT and EID for regular programmatic decision making in the area of integration Ability to work well with others in teams Well-developed written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili ®Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications ~ Ability to travel to implementation districts a minimum of 50%.
