JOB DETAILS: Purpose of the role:
To provide support and assistance to Geology Technicians in collecting geological information through mapping and Face sampling to inform development and production activities.
Qualifications:
• Diploma in Geology or Secondary School certificate.
• Must possess Class D, Tanzanian driver’s license.
• Must possess site driving Permit.

Experience:
• Two years’ geology experience in the mining industry preferable Underground operations.
• At least one year driving experience onsite.
• Knowledge of underground mining, grade control geology and sampling will be added advantage.
Main or key accountabilities:
• Ensure that all geology work is undertaken in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
• Prepare and organize all gears required for mapping and face sampling.
• Drive geologists or technicians underground for mapping and sampling activities.
• Assist geologists or technicians to conduct underground mapping and collect face samples.
• Ensure all face samples are bagged and labelled as per QAQC standard procedure.
• To prepare sample bags, accurately completed submission forms with sample numbers and QAQC in a correct order.
• Ensure face samples are delivered to the laboratory in a timely manner.
• Make sure all sample preparations and are correctly done to avoid sample swap and any other human error.
• Ensure all QAQC procedure are adhered to as practical as possible.
• Preparation of RC sample bags and ensure they are delivered to drilling site underground.
• Inspect UG core samples and make sure are clean and well labelled.
• Participate in geological sampling at ROMPAD and core shed when required.
• Make sure UG geology light vehicles are kept in good condition by maintaining constant housekeeping.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to Process Plant Engineering Supervisor
BUSINESS UNIT/FUNCTION: Singida Gold Mine- Singida Region, Tanzania
Context and purpose of the role
• The boilermakers job is to perform welding and fabricating duties related to structural projects and equipment repair / maintenance. This includes lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.
Accountabilities & authorities of the role
Perform multiple welding processes such as: arc welding (SMAW), metal insert glass (MIG) welding, tungsten inert glass (TIG) welding, flux-core welding (FCAW), plastic welding, hard facing, oxygen / acetylene welding, and brazing. Shall also perform plasma cutting, oxygen / acetylene cutting, tempering, flame straightening, air carbon-arc cutting, sheet metal cutting / bending.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and conduct welding operations.
• Regularly inspect and test welds and equipment. Welds are checked for durability as well as meeting specified standards and equipment must be examined to determine if repairs or new equipment is needed.
• Be familiar and competent is using various boiler-making tools and equipment including conducting pre-use inspections and assessment.
• Ensure sufficient task analysis is completed to carry out work safely.
• Use blueprints – read drawings, work orders and production schedules to determine locations, positions, or dimensions of parts and understand job instructions and specifications.
• Examine work for defects and ensure conformance with specifications.
• Weld sections of iron, steel, copper, or other metals together to form them into required structures.
• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
• Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
• Cuts workpiece, using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knife.
• Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using precision measuring instruments.
• Remove rough spots from workpiece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Heat, form, and dress metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
• Develop templates and other work aids to hold and align parts.
• Determine required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Conduct non-destructive tests on welds, joints, and fabricated piece. Be familiar with various types and techniques on doing NDT including MPI and x-rays.
Required skilled knowledge
Qualification:
• Fabrication Boilermaker Trade Test Grade I, II, III or FTC
• Valid Tanzanian Driving License will be added advantage
Experience:
• 3 or more years’ experience working as boilermaker in Fixed plant industry
• Good written and verbal English language skills are essential.
• Experience with mining environment would be advantageous

JOB DETAILS: Context and purpose of the role
Provide engineering maintenance services on mechanical infrastructure and systems, execute mechanical related projects to maintain equipment’s to the required performance. Installation to the correct standards of motors, gearboxes, pumps, fans, conveyor belts, agitators and valves; balancing and testing of equipment; component assembly and fitment of equipment, and other general fitting tasks and requirements.
Accountabilities & authorities of the role
Fitter mechanic has the following accountabilities and authorities:
• Read, interpret and understand engineering systems blueprints and distinguish associated mechanical components, and correctly install and commission mechanical system based on blueprints or drawings.
• Using blueprints and drawings as a guide, assemble, install and create complete or finished mechanical structures.
• Troubleshoot and Repair Malfunctioning Systems: Use analytical and problem-solving skills to test and diagnose mechanical systems and structurees, determine the root cause of any malfunction in the system and rectify, come up with a plan of action and use skills to replace or rectify identified defects or components or configuration
• Perform Regular System and Equipment Maintenance by Creating and implementing maintenance schedules and procedures for all of the systems under your control. This includes keeping an organized maintenance log.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform various mechanical infrastructure systems inspections as assigned, these are daily, weekly, monthly inspections to maintain or improve equipment availability or performance.
• Corrective Maintenance: Repair, replace or modify various mechanical parts and infrastructure to minimize equipment downtime.
• Repair, maintenance, and installation activities on fixed plant infrastructure such as, crushing plant, dewatering infrastructure, milling plant, CIL plant, gold plant, Tailings facilities, water reticulation systems, mine ventilation equipment and mine air systems
• Inspect, analyze, and record critical mechanical information during the process of undertaking mechanical refurbishment work; this critical information would include the interpretations of wear and tear, mechanical damage to gears, shafts, housing, bearings etc. recording of end floats, preloads, gear train, backlash, tooth contacts and other engineering data at the start and completion of every refurbishment.
• Execute various mechanical related projects to the required quality and standard.
• Responsible for the installation of new equipment. Studying plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations. Ensure the best quality of work is delivered within the safe working standards and regulations set.
Required skilled knowledge
Qualification:
• Trade Test qualified Grade I or Mechanical Full Technician Certificate (FTC).
Experience:
• 3 years working experience in Mechanical Field.
