JOB DETAILS:

Wananchi Group Tanzania (SimbaNET & WCT) a Regional Company which provides Internet, Data, Broadcasting and Multimedia Communication Solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced, professional General Ledger Accountant (GLA) who is highly competent, self-motivated, with a passion for adding value and professional for both entities. He/She will be reporting to Country Finance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Maintenance Month-End and Year-End Financial Reporting Function
• Account Reconciliation and Analysis Compliance and Audit Support Internal Controls
• Cross-Department Collaboration

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on general ledger or financial reporting.
• Certification: CPA T, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting certification preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g, SAP, QuickBooks or Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Tanzania financial regulations and International
• financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
