FELIXSTOWE ACADEMY is looking for a School Administrator to manage all administrative tasks in our school.
As a School Administrator, you’ll need to wear many different hats; the planner, the problem-solver, the educator and the counselor being a few of them. You should have the skills to communicate with various people, handle budgets and logistics, and keep all educational programs running.
If you’re up to the task, and you’re also committed to high-quality education, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring Curriculum standards are met and classroom schedules are followed.
- Handle scheduling, record-keeping and reporting
- Ensure the school complies with relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and run educational programs
- Hire, train and advise staff alongside the directors
- Resolve conflicts and other issues
- Serve as a liaison between teachers, students, parents, and the community
- Have a hand in the creation of the school curriculum
- Preparing school calendar
- Marketing the school
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including finances, facilities, and educational materials
- Manage budgets, logistics and events or meetings
- Maintain relationships with staff and parents
- Monitor students and teachers for progress
- Coordinating school security
- Implement actions that improve the school and the quality of education (e.g. building renovations, new guidelines for students, new subjects)
- Help shape and uphold the vision of the school
- Handling day to day issues
- Perform any other duties as designated by the Directors
School administrator required skills
- Leadership and management skills
- Ability to use computers (e.g. MS Office) and education management systems
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in educational technology and digital tools
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- Knowledge of curriculum development and educational best practices
- Conflict resolution and mediation skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Required Qualifications:
- bachelor degree in education, Business Administration, Finance or related field
- 5 years’ experience in the related field.
- Teaching experience or previous administrative experience in another school
