JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities
1. Provide documentation of all maintenance activities.
2. Create improvement plans for maintenance processes.
3. Ensure Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and regulations are followed.
4. Implement improved maintenance regimes to enhance the reliability of bus systems.
5. Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
7. Lead technical recovery, complex fault analysis, and testing of bus fleet and systems.
8. Foster strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
9. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and support.
10. Prepare and manage the sales department budget, including forecasting and financial planning.
11. Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve financial goals.
12. Lead the overall implementation of the bus fleet maintenance regime.
13. Manage the annual budget for the department.
14. Manage multiple contractors to ensure safety requirements as well as operating and quality standards are met.
15. Manage the workshop’s performance in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
16. Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams.
17. Recommend vendors based on proposal evaluation and cost.
18. Review and approve maintenance schedule and manpower plans.
19. Review audits on maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.
2. 3 years experience in the workshops Department with a strong technical understanding of heavy trucks.
3. Proven experience in a sales management role, preferably within the automotive or heavy truck industry.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
6. Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
7. Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
