Applicant Qualifications
• Employed and qualified Form Four / Six / Diploma, Doctoral Degree from Government / Universally recognized Universities / Colleges who completed the Internship training of not less than 12 months and obtained registration from the Tanganyika Medical Council ( Medical Council of Tanganyika).

Duties and responsibilities
• Perform all hospital medical work related to various ailments including pediatric diseases, gynecological diseases and routine and emergency surgery.
• Provide and manage health education as well as improve community health in Districts and Regions or its workplace.
• Detect, monitor and prevent disease outbreaks.
• Maintain statistics and use them as directed in the principles of MTUHA.
• Planning and evaluating health services in its workplace.
• To train students and staff present in the workplace.
• Supervise and direct the staff under him.
• Design and conduct research and disseminate results.
• Design and prepare strategies to enhance the quality of service of his profession
• Prepare health care plans and budget estimates.
• Participate, review and improve health care (medical audit and quality improvement).
• To perform such other duties as may be assigned to him or her by his or her supervisor for his or her education, experience and skills.
