Duties And Responsibilities
i. Controlling and preventing disease outbreaks
ii. Combating and preventing insects and animals that spread diseases.
iii. Supervising the burial of unidentified bodies and those resulting from infectious diseases
iv. Prepare various reports on Environmental Health at the ward level and submit them to the relevant authorities.
v. Collect and analyze Environmental Health data in the ward and provide feedback to take appropriate actions.
vi. Provide environmental health education to the community.
vii. Inspect the environment in food processing areas to ensure public safety and health.
viii. Administer environmental health laws at the ward level as well as assist the community in developing by-laws.
ix. Mobilizing the community to improve water sources and environmental sanitation.
x. Sensitize the community on the implementation of Primary Health Services at the Ward level.
xi. To perform other duties assigned by his/her superior related to his/her education, experience and skills.

Qualification And Experience
• To be employed with a Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences from a government-recognized institution and registered with the Environmental Health Professionals Board.
