JOB DETAILS:
Arusha Regional Cooperative Association (ACU Ltd) is announcing two (2) positions for ASSISTANT AGRICULTURE OFFICER.

DUTIES OF EXTENSION OFFICER
• Establish and manage model farms.
• Collecting various agricultural statistics
• Supervising the Primary Associations in organizing the Association’s fields. 4. To provide training to Farmers about the best methods of agriculture. 5. Visiting Farmers in the field.
• Collaborating with agricultural researchers and other agricultural stakeholders in increasing the production of quality agricultural products.
• Managing the collection and evaluation of agricultural statistics.
• Prepare a training plan for the correct use of agricultural inputs. 9. Collaborate with agricultural researchers in providing warnings about the risk indicators of crop diseases.
• Giving advice on the use of quality seeds.
• Control crop pests.
• To prepare and write a work plan for the implementation of good agriculture for Farmers for each farming season

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT.
• Employment of graduates of the fourth (IV) or sixth (VI) form with a diploma (Diploma) in agriculture and livestock from colleges recognized by the Government.
• Must have at least one year of experience in agricultural and livestock activities.
• Be able to speak and write work information in English and Kiswahili.
• He should have an understanding of using a computer with Ms Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and E-mail programs.
• He should be able to design and write strategic plans related to agriculture and breeding for the benefit of the relevant Members.
• He should be able to design and write action plans related to agriculture and breeders for the benefit of the relevant Members.
• He should be ready to attend various trainings related to agriculture or extension when needed.

CONDITIONS FOR THE APPLICANT FOR THE VOLUNTEER POSITION OF AGRICULTURE OFFICER
• The applicant must be a citizen of Tanzania who is not more than 35 years old 2. The applicant must attach a copy of the birth certificate.
• The applicant should attach sufficient personal information (Detailed CV) with addresses and reliable telephone numbers as well as the names of three reliable Guarantors.
• Applications must be accompanied by professional certificates, information, copies of certificates of the Fourth and Sixth Forms, for those who have reached that level and certificates of graduation from various trainings based on the characteristics of the relevant work, such attachments should be properly compressed to eliminate the possibility of dropping or getting lost .
• The applicant should be ready to work in Arusha Region or Manyara Region, Kiteto District on the ACU Ltd farm located in Songambele. 6. One recent “Passport size” photo with the name written on the back
