JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a logistics and fleet manager who will be working alongside other Managers in various departments and reporting to the Group Head of Sales and Marketing. Must demonstrate high expertise, and leadership skills, and apply strategic thinking to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods while minimizing costs and meeting customer expectations.

The position reports to The Group General Manager/Head of Sales and Marketing
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and optimize transportation strategies, ensuring efficient and cost-effective routing for goods delivery.
2. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the company’s fleet of vehicles or third- party transportation providers.
3. Manage the flow of spare parts and ensure proper inventory levels, coordinating with warehouses and suppliers.
4. Monitor transportation costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining service quality.
5. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations related to transportation and logistics.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, freight carriers, and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and negotiate favorable terms.
7. Utilize logistics software and data analysis to track transportation performance, identify inefficiencies, and report on key metrics like delivery times, costs, and fuel consumption.
8. Lead and manage logistics personnel, including drivers, warehouse staff, and other relevant employees, ensuring effective communication and productivity.
9. Ensure a high level of General hygiene of all distribution fleet.

Personal Attributes and qualifications
1. A Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
2. 10 years of experience in transportation or logistics, with expertise in managing transportation fleets (at least over 50 fleets), routing, and scheduling.
4. Experience with managing logistics software and technologies (e.g., Transportation Management Systems, GPS tracking systems, or routing optimization software).
5. Familiarity with transportation laws, regulations (e.g., DOT regulations, international trade laws), and safety standards.
6. Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs requirements for international shipping.
7. Ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders, including suppliers, drivers, vendors, and customers.
8. Strong negotiation skills for dealing with carriers and service providers.
9. Capable of managing teams, including drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams.
10. Ability to delegate tasks, motivate employees, and resolve conflicts.
