JOB DETAILS:
As a Marketing Executive you are responsible to assist the Marketing & Communication Team in the organization of events and seeking related sponsorship to cover all expenses while bringing revenue to the hotel, whereby your role will include
key responsibilities such as-
• Maintain and implement an effective filing & administrative system for all matters related to the department, including but not limited to identifying and maintaining a comprehensive database of customers, sponsors, media and any other potential client base for effective and targeted communication
• Formulate all correspondence related to the client base, media, sponsorship proposals, letters of thanks and appreciation and any other required business correspondence in order to ensure effective communication
• Maintain an effective and updated file of the company’s press kit, biographies, developments and photography for any marketing purpose they may be required
• Assist in handling all dissemination of information to the media and to maintain an effective working relationship with all members of target media, electronic and print, local, national and international to encourage and maximize coverage of all events and promotions
• Assist in hosting members of the media, strategic partners and clients at functions and events whenever required to strengthen the reputation of the property and the Rotana brand
• Assist in managing the advertising function in such a way that all advertisements are effective and reflect a positive image of the property and the Rotana brand
• Assist in establishing effective relations with agencies to devise and maximize publicity materials (printed collaterals, radio campaigns, advertising, etc.), as well as assist in handling the production of all promotional materials, including gathering of supporting data and collateral and briefing the advertising agencies and/or printers in order to come up with effective marketing campaigns
• Assist in managing the online content and imagery of Rotana and the property on rotana.com, rotanatimes.com and in the publication of the Employee newsletters and Intranet to ensure that correct and proper information and appropriate images are in place
• Monitor all media releases for the property and for the competition to ensure that the department is updated on what is written about the property, and what the competitors’ activities are
• Handle effective communication with all departments in the properties to ensure efficient inter-property dissemination of information
• Assist in managing effective direct marketing campaigns to identified target markets using either surface or electronic mailing means, including but not limited to Rotana Rewards
• Take photographs of all internal functions, Banquet and Conference functions and VIP’s visiting in the Hotel for possible press release distribution as well as for documentation
• Assist in submitting a monthly report to the General Manager and Corporate Vice President – Marketing updating on all matters related to the activities within the department
• Attend division and General meetings and handle the writing of minutes and documentation whenever required
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
You should be an advertising, marketing or communication graduate with preferable experiences in a similar field. You must be a computer literate with effective communication skills, verbal and written in English and preferable in Arabic as well.
