Roles and responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in accordance with the curriculum and teacher standards.
- Classroom Management: Create a safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment that promotes positive behavior and high academic standards.
- Student Progress Monitoring: Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils regularly.
- Pastoral Care: Act as the first point of contact for the pupils in the class, supporting their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
- Parent Communication: Maintain open, professional communication with parents and carers regarding student progress, behavior, and other concerns.
- Collaborative Working: Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records including attendance,assessment and pupil development
- Inclusion and Diversity: Ensure all pupils, regardless of background or ability, are supported and included in all aspects of school life.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional learning and contribute to whole-school initiatives and improvements.
- Extra-Curricular Involvement: Participate in and, where appropriate, lead extracurricular activities or school events.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Relevant teaching degree and professional teaching qualification
- Experience teaching either EY, KS1 or KS2
- Demonstrate a thorough recent knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum
- Committed to differentiation and SEND inclusive practice
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and all staff members
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Be an outstanding role model to students, faculty and staff
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to solving problems
- Uphold the values of the school in a manner that is respectful to all faiths
