JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for Managing and supervising the packing shift team to ensure production parameters and standards are met in a safe and efficient manner, and he will be required to hold teams accountable to the highest standards of packaging.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan and supervise the daily work and performance of each employee on assigned shift, organize schedules, and assign work activity to achieve team and company objectives safely.
• Together with the teams, achieve shift, daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets for respective area by ensuring that tasks are prioritized and planned in a logical, systematic and cost-effective way to optimize profitability.
• Monitor performance and support and advise teams in solving problems and/or taking corrective action.
• Monitor standards for setting, operating, and maintaining equipment and ensure instructions are adhered to.
• Ensures that all packing masses are accurate and conform to the allowable mass ranges.
• Manage product and packaging material requirements as per Safety Operating Procedures requirements.
• Monitor quality performance on packing operations - raising incidents when required for immediate corrective action.
• Ensure continuous improvement by implementing functional best practices and conducting physical inspections.

Job Requirements:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree.
• 3 years post experience in a heavy industry environment with at least 2 years in the sugar industry.
• 2+years Supervisory experience.
• Computer literacy.
• Good communication skills.
