Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible to prepare, conduct, and evaluate technical training programs. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts a learning needs analysis for technical operations at the Mills.
  • Develops on the job training programme.
  • Conducts on -the- job training using a variety of methods.
  • Conducts pre and post training assessments and supplies feedback.
  • Participates in factory production meetings.
  • Participate s in skills development committees.
  • Identifies competence gaps during problem solving meetings as part of root cause analysis.
  • Updates Technical Operating Parameters charts and ensures that they are visually displayed.
  • Conducts Technical Operating Parameters training follow-up training sessions.
  • Writes technical training modules and contributes to the development of work instructions.
  • Ensure that all technical training records are maintained.
  • Produces and submits technical training progress reports to line management.
  • Conducts formal upskilling programs (e.g. Artisan Development Program).
  • Facilitates and manages process trainee, learner ships and apprenticeship programs.
  • Coordinates SHERQ legal /mandatory training required for specific licenses or certification.
  • Oversees on-site activities of external training providers to ensure compliance to site specific SHERQ policy and procedures.
  • Provides input into annual L&D budgets.
  • Provides on-site coordination of training venues bookings, manages training stationery and housekeeping.
  • Promote and adhere to Kilombero procedures, policies, and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)

Job Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent
  • Assessor and Learning Facilitation Competence Certificates
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in production or maintenance field
  • Ability to communicate effectively and assertively
  • Analytical and Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Valid driver’s license
