CAMARTEC is a Government Institution under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It was established by the Parliament Act. No.19 of 1981 and came into operation from April 1982 The Centre is responsible for interpreting Government's policies of applied research and development in Agricultural Mechanization and Rural Technologies into programs aimed at improving the agricultural production and quality of rural livelihoods.
