The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) is a governmental body responsible for managing the Telecommunications and Broadcasting sectors in Tanzania. Established by the Tanzania Communications Authority Act No. 12 of 2003 to manage electronic and postal services and communication frequencies in the United Republic of Tanzania. The Authority came into operation on November 1, 2003 and operates the former Tanzania Communications Commission (TCC) and the Tanzania Broadcasting Commission (TBC).
