We are currently seeking COLLECHONS AND RECOVERY MANAGER

Principle responsiblities

  • Implementation of the credit monitoring and recovery procedural manual to contain credit risk within acceptable parameters.
  • Provision of adequate management information regarding the performance of outstanding loan facilities with view of maintaining sound, balanced and quality loan portfolio.
  • Actioning all identified credit control events and defaults, in order to reduce the roll rate of nomperforming loans into lock up portfolio by providing a prompt and orderly turnaround environment in which controls can be exercised to ensure that the bank is not faced with avoidable losses.
  • Manage Pre
  • NPLs (Non-Performing Loans} i .e loans that are past due between 1-90 dav and NPLslNon-Performing Loans I that are past clue for over 90 days.
  • Formulating and implementing proactive, efficient arid cost effective NFL recovery stratege and plans to ensure good quality loan portfolios.
  • Manage loan default and written off facilities by undertaking daily monthly nalysis and reporting issuesrexceptions/severity to Head of Credit
  • Examining restructuring and rescheduling requests and make recomandations to the appropriate committees to enable maximum NPL recovery;
  • Liaising with external parties such as lawyers. auctioneers and debate collectors
  • Evaluating the performance of the Bank external parties asned recovery cases.
  • Ensuring a healthy portfolio by minimizing the Delinq '0 Ratio to acceptable level.
  • Work closely with Heads of departments, relationship managers and concerned committees to ensure effective communication on credit monitoring and recove es procedures.
  • Conduct annual review of collaterals information and documents of highest risk accounts for timely regularization of identified anomalies

Qualification and key competency requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any fields from a recoganized institution
  • Must understand and agree with the bank Mission, Vision and core values
  • Demonstrate high level of ethical commitment and trustworthiness.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk system and processes.
  • Ability to develop collection and recovery strategies.
  • Computer literacy- Excel MS Word and Power Point.
  • Knowledge of Legal frameworks.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Great Interpersonal Skills

Experience required
A minimum of 3 years working experience in a credit management function, specifically in the area of loan collections and recovery in a Bank or MFI
