JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose.
The successful candidate will be responsible for Maintenance of Machines and machine parts during off crop and crushing season.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor the vacuum pans operation to concentrate sugar liquor and grow sugar crystals to specified size.
• Able to identify 3 boiling zones in pan boiling and their effects during crystallization process.
• Make sure three boiling systems are used as per Illovo procedure in sugar manufacturing to maximize sugar recovery.
• Know exactly how to prepare quality grains(seeds) using Magma and slurry.
• Perform all Pan boiling tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s quality, safety, health and environment policies and procedures.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on stop days and off-crop period.
• Control boiling temperature, boiling vacuum, brix and A&B molasses conditioning to optimize pan boiling and crystallization process.
• Monitor boiling cycles, able to do calculations and read graphs.
• Ensure the steam is utilized optimally.
• Ensure Accurately record of pan volume and boil pan to specified levels.

Job Requirement:
• Form IV with experience in sugar boiling A, B & C.
• Able to do calculations and read graphs.
• Completed pan boiling practical +basic fitting.
• Troubleshooting of pan.
• Ensure optimum Production rate.
• Attention to details.

Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
