DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Defines and reviews maintenance inspection philosophy.
- Reviews Inspection Program, Intelligent Pigging Operation, and partial inspections.
- Establishes contact, processes, and audit plans according to standards, local field shutdown requirements, and authorities.
- Participates in the preparation of the Maintenance Inspection Budget.
- Participates in the recruitment process and selection of the inspection team.
- Reviews Inspection Reports, including analysis of inspection findings, and establishes inspection services contracts for EACOP.
- Participates in technical audits of contracted companies regarding Non-Destructive Testing, Welding, Piping/Pressure Vessel fabrication, and Coating.
- Analyzes and optimizes inspection activities for efficiency.
- Reviews management of change requests.
- Selects and reviews Risk-Based Inspection tools required for EACOP assets.
- Ensures lifting register, flexible register, and temporary repair database are up to date.
- Ensures that repairs, modifications, and procurement of equipment comply with relevant regulations, company rules, technical codes, and norms.
- Ensures welding qualification, material, and procedure required for pipeline emergency repairs are available and up to date.
- Manages the inspection team and resources.
- Serves as the focal point for inspection and corrosion exchange.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s level or equivalent in Mechanics or Materials Engineering, or similar fields with an emphasis on mechanics, materials, metallurgy, and corrosion.
- Proficiency in oral and written English.
- Good knowledge in Fitness for Service assessment methods (API RP 579, ASME, DNV, etc.).
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a supervisor or leader in inspection-related activities within the Oil & Gas industry, refinery, or petrochemical site.
- Good knowledge of international Codes, Standards, and Regulations related to the inspection discipline (ASME, API, NACE, etc.).
- Knowledge of materials, metallurgy, welding, corrosion, failure modes, Non-Destructive Testing, and inspection techniques.
- Experience in Full Field Shutdown inspection scope preparation and follow-up.
- Knowledge of RBI methodology (Risk-Based Inspection).
- Good knowledge of CMIMS (Computerized Maintenance & Inspection Management System).
- ERB Registration as a Professional Engineer.
