JOB DETAILS:
Duties and responsibilities
1. Collaborating with farmers to run experimental farms and classroom farms;
2. Visiting farmers/groups of farmers in their fields and providing expert advice on the best and modern methods of commercial farming;
3. To teach and guide farmers on the best use of fertilizers, medicines and agricultural tools;
4. Collecting and maintaining statistics on the state of agriculture in the Village,
5. Designing and preparing modern crop storage units and providing education on the correct use of crops;
6. Providing information on the signs of plant and crop pests;
7. To prepare and use the agricultural notebook in carrying out his daily duties;
8. Participating in the process of identifying opportunities and obstacles for development (O & OD) and preparing a village agricultural development plan (Village Agricultural Development Plan (VADP), and
9. Prepare a monthly implementation report to submit to the Ward Extension Officer and a copy to submit to the Village Executive Officer.

Qualification and experience
1. Employed graduates of the fourth form with a Diploma in Agriculture from colleges recognized by the Government.
