JOB DETAILS:
The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating factory spares using fabrication machine facilities, issue welding materials to welders, advice welding and fabrication support on tools and materials and ensuring good housekeeping.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Fabricates by using welding facilities.
• Ensure best engineering and quality standards are met. (Development of different structure.)
• Perform Arc welding, Plasma cutter, Profile cutter, oxy-acetylene gas, Mig and Tig welding as per required standard and specification.
• Operate fabrication shop machinery i.e. bending brake, roller, Guillotine & Cropper etc.
• Direct workers in the repair of boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels.
• Responsible for the safety conformance of all crews and take control of workmanship.
• Monitor performance, support, and advise teams in solving problems and/or taking corrective action.
• Ensures good housekeeping by inspecting welding and fabrication premises.
• Ensures requests welding materials from stores by writing MRV/Reservation (SAP system).
• Reconditions factory spares by welding example pump shaft, coupling and other spares.
• Selecting electrodes for welding various machine components by using welding materials technology skills.
• Ensure continuous improvement by implementing functional best practices and conducting physical inspections.
• Perform all tasks with “awareness” towards the prevention of any forms of pollution to the surrounding and environment.
• Promote and adhere to Kilombero Sugar Co Ltd procedures, policies, and guidelines, including without limitation, those relating to Safety, healthy, Environment, Risk and Quality (SHERQ).

Job Requirements:
• Minimum Form Four certificate.
• Welding and fabrication Grade I.
• 2+ years in fabrication workshop.
• Completed necessary training modules for C.A.D, BUP, CAP, Welding and Workshop Safety.
