CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Development and Implementation

  • Design and oversee the implementation of teacher training initiatives that are aligned with national standards and TFFT’s mission and strategic goals
  • Lead the development of annual work plans, training calendars, and budgets
  • Support resource mobilization and contribute to funding strategies for teacher development initiatives
  • Identify and engage key education stakeholders to ensure program relevance and alignment with national and local priorities

Team Management and Capacity Building

  • Lead and mentor program staff, ensuring professional growth and high performance.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals of program staff.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

  • Develop and manage monitoring tools to assess training effectiveness and classroom practice improvements.
  • Conduct regular field visits to observe teaching practices, identify gaps, and support continuous improvement.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices to inform program refinement and organizational learning

Reporting and Administration

  • Manage program budgets, logistics, and training schedules in coordination with the Program Coordinator.
  • Prepare periodic reports for internal use and external stakeholders, including donors.
  • Contribute to grant reporting as needed.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Open to Tanzanian nationals only
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in teacher training, coaching, or education program management
  • Knowledge and a strong understanding of the Tanzanian education system
  • Demonstrated ability in designing and developing impactful teacher training programs, curricula, or learning interventions
  • Experience in leading annual program planning and contributing to organizational strategic planning processes
  • Solid understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) principles and the ability to apply them for program refinement
  • Proven experience in surfacing, analyzing, and communicating program outcomes to diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, including grant writing and developing fundraising proposals
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Fluency in Kiswahili and English
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Willingness to commit to a two-year contract that includes a 6-month probationary period
