About the role
We are looking for an experienced Banking and Treasury Executive to provide support to the treasury management function. This will involve global bank account management, global bank portal management and bank mandate management. The post holder will also be responsible for the management of monthly changes to the Sightsavers investment portfolio to ensure that management, accounting, and reporting requirements are met.

Key duties will include:
• Global bank account management to include opening, closing, and amending accounts
• Ensure optimal interfaces are achieved between the treasury management function and the operations team, in terms of processes, procedures, information sharing, common systems use and general collaboration and communications.
• Global bank portal management
• Bank mandate management using the Kyriba TMS Bank Management Module
• Updating and recording all electronic portal bank accounts, users, roles, and responsibilities
• Regular reviews of all bank account management information
• Assisting the Acting Treasury Manager in maintaining Banking partner relationships and reviewing for best practices and improvements
• Responsible for the management of monthly changes to the Sightsavers investment portfolio to ensure accurate and timely recording of purchases, disposals, realised and unrealised gain and losses to produce SUN accounting journals
• Analysing the investment portfolio and producing treasury management reports for monthly Management Account Reporting and Investment Committee meetings.
• Assisting the Acting Treasury Manager in Treasury analysis
• Filing and audit preparation in respect of all the above.

• Part qualified accountant or equivalent experience, possibly working towards a treasury management qualification.

Job Summary
To deliver administrative services through negotiate with customers over telephone and physically to obtain the customer promise to pay and follow up on the payments & ensure the debts are being recovered in full.

Job Description
• To contribute positively to the achievement of departmental goals by contacting customers who have either defaulted on payment or exceeded their credit limit via telephone to negotiate of the debt and return the account to an in-order position. (all customer telecommunication should be done and updated on the system).
• Demonstrating commitment to constantly improve negotiation skills by being receptive to feedback and focusing on win-win solutions.
• Ensure that quality call standards are consistently met and recorded.
• Work with customers to negotiate repayment terms to achieve the best outcome for the Bank and the customer on accounts in delinquent.
• Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints at the first point of contact where possible in accordance with company policy to prevent complaints from escalating.
• Liase with other areas of the business and external third parties, where necessary with the aim of resolving customer queries and complaints.
• Proactively identify non-value adding tasks in order to drive a culture of change to improve the business
• Undertake non-telephony activities when required to support the business
• Proactively identify fraudulent accounts to reduce losses to the Bank
• Work with customers to resolve potentially complex financial and/or emotional situations in order to minimize the cases referred to Team Leaders and maximise the revenue for the Bank

Under the guidance of the Chief of Planning, Monitoring and Field Coordination the Chief Field Office (CFO) is accountable for managing and leading the total programme commitment of a field office within a country programme. The CFO represents UNICEF in Kibondo Field Office, oversees the various program sectors and operational service teams ensuring the delivery of quality results in accordance with UNICEF’s programme of cooperation, country programme management plan and overall vision set forward by the Representative. The CFO is also responsible for the child protection portfolio in the field office. Programming context spans a range from emergency response in refugee camps to long term development in refugee hosting districts.
Reporting to the Chief of Planning, Monitoring and Field Coordination, the CFO Kibondo Field Office leads UNICEF response to a current caseload of almost 300,000 refugees from nearby DRC and Burundi, oversees UNICEF support to district development plans in the refugee hosting districts of Kigoma Region, and leads UNICEF efforts in child protection. The Kibondo Field office consists of a chief of field office (with child protection oversight), three programme staff covering WASH, Health/Nutrition, and Education as well as an operation assistant and two drivers. As with all field offices the main roles/objectives of KFO are:

• Planning KFO is primarily responsible for planning the emergency response to the refugee influx in Kigoma region; however, KFO has also been engaged in planning of longer-term development support to LGAs in the regions.
• Technical Support UNICEF KFO provides technical support to partners during the course of implementation. This could be in the form of troubleshooting, piloting, emergency response and other technical missions.
• HACT ASSURANCE These are the actions related to release of funds, assessment of partner capacity, and determining if funds were used for the intended purpose leading to the planned results. KFO is the front line in assuring HACT in this part of the country.
• Advocacy/Partnerships UNICEF works with partners to achieve shared results as well as to advocate on child rights issues.

Making recommendations of a technical nature on adjustments and changes on project implementation, to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This includes technical recommendations for adjustments to child protection programmes.
To enhance better understanding of the local conditions, government planning and budgeting processes to facilitate correct programme approach which would lead to effectiveness of activities, and proper use of financial resources.
Ensuring that there are strong relations with local government counterparts and other partners so as to make solid implementation and UNICEF credibility.
Ensure understanding of the local child protection context and foster strong relations with local government and other partners in child protection.
The incumbent interprets and applies the guidelines across programmes as well as applying technical knowledge on child protection guidance.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will need to have the following:
• An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: social sciences, international relations, public administration, government and public relations, public or social policy, sociology, social or community development, or another relevant technical field.
• A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, with specific experience, skills and competencies in child protection.
• Experience in managing a humanitarian response is beneficial.
• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset.

The Council of Abdulraman Al-Sumait University (SUMAIT) seeks to recruit a Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Finance and Administration) from suitably qualified and competent Tanzanian with excellent credentials. The Deputy Vice- Chancellor shall work under the directives of the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor responsible for administration and finance is the principal assistant to the Vice-Chancellor in all matters pertaining to the administration of the University, including the administration of funds, planning and other assets of the University and will act as vice chancellor in the absence of both the Vice-Chancellor and the Deputy Vice- Chancellor responsible for Academic, Research and Consultancy.
The candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of sound financial and administrative policies needed by the University to realize its mission, vision and strategic objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Planning, Finance and Administration shall: –
• Shall be the overall responsible for direction and administration of the Division of Administration, Finance and Planning of the university.
• Ensure the university Management is properly and promptly advised to comply with all statutory and legal requirements currently in force
• Be accountable to Vice Chancellor in respect to matters related to Planning, Finance and Administration
• Supervise and maintain acceptable standards of staff.
• Provide leadership and supervisory guidance to the general administration and personnel management of the University.
• Advise the Vice Chancellor on all administrative, personnel, planning and financial matters.
• Ensure implementation of policies and strategies that support the realization of University’s overall mission and vision.
• Develop and implement University regulations, policies as well as adhere to national laws and regulations to ensure effective performance and delivery of services.
• Coordinate the design, implementation, revision and evaluation of the University’s periodic strategic plan.
• Develop internal and external linkages with other academic institutions, industry, government agencies, funding organizations and other relevant bodies that are beneficial to the university.
• Be responsible for formulating financial, accounting, staff and administrative policies and procedures of the University, prepare budget, and submit audited accounts.
• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned to him or her by the Vice Chancellor or by the University.

Academic Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Competencies
• Be a Professor or an Associate Professor of a recognized University with an earned PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Should have at least ten (10) years of proven experience in management, leadership and administration, three (3) of which should have been at a senior level from a reputable Institution.
• Should have good knowledge and skills of financial management and resource mobilization.
• Should have knowledge and experience in strategic planning and budgeting, policy making and implementation in higher education.
• Have an understanding of the relevant policy and legal framework for financial management for higher education in Tanzania.
• Should have good communication, negotiation and people skills.

Tenure: The Deputy Vice Chancellors (Finance and Administration) shall serve the office for a term of four (4) years and may be reappointed for another term of four (4) years subject to the Council recommendations and approval of the Board of Trustees on evidence of excellent performance.
Remuneration: According to Abdulraman Al-Sumait University (SUMAIT) Salary Scale.

ELICO works closely with the government at the national and local levels and with partners such as the vocation training institutes, microfinance institutions as well as companies and small enterprises in the renewable energy and agricultural sectors
To support us in the programme activities we are looking for a motivated individual to fill the position of Field Officer- Enterprise Support

The Role
The Field Officer - Enterprise Support is responsible for the overall comprehensive planning and execution of assigned programme activities to ensure that: implementation is on track, performance targets are met, progress reporting is timely and accurate, and resources are utilized in an appropriate manner. As the primary lead, the role holder must have excellent technical skills and the ability to offer expert support to the portfolio of local enterprises and farmers groups.

Roles and responsibilities include:
• Assist in the mobilization and recruitment of smallholder farmers and entrepreneurs into the programme.
• Conducting needs assessments of the engaged smallholder farmers and enterprises to identify gaps in knowledge and where further support is required o
• Organizing the logistics for conducting the trainings, including identifying suitable venues, mobilize trainers and inviting participants.
• Organize smallholder farmers into groups, formalize the groups and facilitate savings among them
• Coaching entrepreneurs and farmers’ groups on a regular basis: identifying needs, supporting business planning and providing practical solutions to arising issues
• Supporting entrepreneurs and farmer’s groups to engage in promotional activities, create new market linkages and expand their market reach.
• Conducting initial due diligence of prospective loan applicants and following up with entrepreneurs and farmers who have successfully obtained a loan.
• Support enterprises and farmers’ groups to access finance and invest in income generating appliances (IGAs) required for their activities.
• Support in developing marketing strategies for enterprises and farmers’ groups supported under the program.
• Organizing the logistics for market development activities and events to raise consumer awareness.
• Assisting entrepreneurs and farmers’ groups in developing promotional material for their business including logos, business cards and flyers.
• Actively identifying new markets and potential new customers for entrepreneurs or farmer’s groups and assisting them to access these opportunities.
• Providing Business Development Support (BDS) in market development activities and enterprise development.
• Raise awareness on options for using electricity beyond basic needs such as lighting, phone charging and TV/radio, and the economic and social benefit of productive uses (PUE).
• Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Head of Programs.

Monitoring and Evaluation
• Collecting M&E data and using feedback from these data to advise entrepreneurs and farmers groups on how to improve their enterprises.
• Periodic and timely reporting to the Head of Programs on progress/performance against the M&E framework.
• Collecting data, analyzing and providing feedback to the Head of Programs.
• Supporting the project team with quality control on field information.
• Support the M&E department in undertaking analytical studies.

Communications and cross cutting assignment

• Documenting compelling stories and case studies from the entrepreneurs or farmers’ groups and sharing with Communication Officer for improvement and inputs
• Providing the communication officer with an impactful stories and field events on a monthly basis
• Supporting ELICO Foundation Management team on key assignments as may be necessary.

Qualifications needed
• First degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Economics. Agronomy or related business studies from a recognized institution. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in renewable energy business or agribusiness particularly in rural settings
• Hands on experience as a trainer, facilitator, operator or advisor in renewable energy or MSME development
• Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate and manage a diverse array of activities and stakeholders
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision o A full command of written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
• Willingness to travel and work in rural areas for most of the times o Good team working skills, creativity and ideas generation.
• A current driver's licence and/or ability to ride a motorbike.
