Job Summary
The purpose of the role is to drive the business growth and management of the Diaspora Banking Business in CRDB Bank in connection with Tanzanian Embassies, diaspora associations and the ministry in ensuring strong and sustainable relationship that brings more business. Responsible for the strategic positioning and growth of diaspora banking. Provide leadership, manage and build a growing customer base with strong relationship for both potential and existing prospects Tanzanian Diasporas. Create awareness of bank products relevant to diaspora and promote account opening, accounts funding, usage, and savings. Responsible for cross-selling and upselling of other products and services to this diaspora segment. Manage sales campaigns for all promotions and campaigns for Diaspora products and services in Tanzania and abroad.

The Role Responsibilities
• To support the CEO in all aspects of his / her role in order to
• Develop, implement and execute business strategies and associated financial plans.
• Deliver strong financial performance.
• Ensure the business is managed in compliance with Group policies and procedures in order to minimize risk e.g. credit, operational, market, country and reputation.
• Proactively manage and develop talent.
• Support the CEO in managing the country’s strategic direction, organization, management and performance of the businesses.
• Assist the CEO with formulating, communicating, and monitoring business strategies for Tanzania; establish regular checkpoint meetings; report progress to the CEO.
• Ensure the engagement of Group functions in the development of Tanzania strategies and policies.
• Oversee project work on behalf of the CEO e.g., strategic taskforces, organization work, and other initiatives.
• Manage performance against budget for the General management cost centre.
• Assist the CEO to make strategic interventions in the running of the business.
• Preparation of high quality documentation on behalf of the C.E.O for Board strategy meetings, briefing packs for Group visitors, monthly and quarterly CEO Newsletters and Bi weekly updates.
• Organize country and branch and customer visits during the year.
• Take on any additional responsibilities as agreed with the CEO.
• Assist the smooth running of the CEO’s office by providing a focal point for communications and key CEO messages. Ensure that key CEO messages are formulated and communicated across the bank in Tanzania.
• Coordinate the scheduling of all Management Committee meetings for the year.
