JOB DETAILS:
The objectives of this position are to perform the driving of CVM vehicles and ensure the safety of staff, looking after the vehicle assign to you and ensuring that CVM driving rules and regulations as well as those of the United Republic of Tanzania are strictly adhered to.

Major duties
• Must have valid driving license at all the time
• At least 3 years continuous experience as a driver for NGO/company
• Preferable knowledge of NGOs
• Drives staff members and official visitors for project-related trips, activities and assignments as requested
• Check vehicle daily to ensure that the vehicle is maintained in good condition, checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc., performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean and perform minor and routine maintenance on assigned vehicles, identify and report maintenance problems to the Admin Officer
• Assist the Administrator to ensure vehicle insurance and registration is updated accordingly
• Receive all utility bills and present proper receipts on any expenditure incurred in vehicle to the Finance office in a timely manner Assist the Administrator to ensure vehicle insurance and registration is updated accordingly
• Ensure the safety of passengers through safe driving practices, including but not limited to and punctuality
• Transport only authorized workers
• No driver will report to work or drive a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and drugs
• Driving within speed limits and in accordance with traffic regulations
• Maintain the cleanliness of the interior and the exterior of the assigned car
• Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in an accident
• Work overtime if required
• No major accidents in the past 3 years
• Familiar with Google Maps and driving apps
• Swahili native speaker and fluent in English
• Having VETA mechanics or driving certificate is an asset
• Three references must be included in the CV.

Job Profile
• Drive Sandvik Management teams and other employees on official business.
• Ensure smooth and safe travel of passengers to their respective destinations.
• Operates trucks, vans, or similar vehicles to pick up and deliver products, supplies and equipment to and from organizations, suppliers, and customer sites.
• Actions may involve complex pickups and deliveries, e.g., night or long-distance deliveries of goods.
• May Perform basic maintenance to keep vehicles clean and in good order (for example inflate tires, check oil and water, clean interior.
• Support Sandvik’s employees with local support when travelling in respective country.
• Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues
Your Profile
• Minimum 5 years' proven experience as a Driver
• A valid drivers' license
• Ability and experience driving long distances.
• Good communication skills (preferrably in English)
• Familiarity with GPS software (i.e. google maps)
