JOB DETAILS:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for implementing and following up on day-to-day peacebuilding initiatives through established peace structures in Pemba, including girls’ clubs, community writers, interfaith committees, and women and youth economic empowerment groups.
• Organize capacity-building training/sessions according to the project plan and timeline.
• Function as a resource person to improve planning and implementation of the project in the community.
• Facilitate programme integration, enabling cross-learning between economic empowerment and peacebuilding program components for holistic project delivery.
• Manage and maintain good working relations with local government authorities and other stakeholders in the community.
• Provide continuous support to project-targeted groups for learning and sustainability of the interventions.
• Document project impact and progress for communication and visibility for development partners, government, and other stakeholders.
• Support reporting of the project’s implemented interventions.

Qualifications and Working Experience:
• Tanzanian national with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Peacebuilding Studies, Inter-Cultural Relations, or Social Sciences from a recognized institution.
• Proven relevant experience with peacebuilding projects.
• Good writing and communication skills.
• Ability to facilitate learning processes.
• Ability to learn fast and adapt to changes easily.
• Ability to deliver results in a timely manner under minimal supervision.
• Positive, collaborative team player, open and flexible to the changing environment.

Personal Qualities:
• Energetic and enterprising.
• Team player with good collaboration skills.
• Good people skills, including relationship-building with the community and various stakeholders.
