JOB DETAILS:
Job description
The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for creating engaging content for Silverleaf Academy’s social media channels, scheduling weekly posts on Buffer platform, and working on-campus three times a week to ensure alignment with organizational goals, content pillars and strategies.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
• 10% increase in the number of followers on Instagram on a monthly basis.
• 370 high quality photos/videos produced and shared for approval prior to being scheduled on Buffer.
• Increase in level of audience engagement in likes, comments, shares, and other interactions per post.
• Maintain a 20% Increase in number of Reach and Impressions on a monthly basis (Increased reach means more people are exposed to the content)
• Percentage increase of social media followers from Arusha and other geographical areas to at least 20% by end of Q4 2024.
• % increase in conversion rate from social media leads. (aims at monitoring the ability of social media content to convert leads into customers)

SCOPE OF WORK
Content Creation:
• Develop creative and compelling content for Silverleaf Academy’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) to increase brand visibility and engagement.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with the organization’s message house and goals.
• Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and style.
• Content Scheduling:
• Utilize Buffer platform to schedule weekly posts across various social media channels, ensuring consistent and timely distribution of content.
• Monitor scheduled posts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and optimal timing for maximum reach and engagement.
• Stay updated on social media trends and algorithm changes to optimize scheduling strategies.
• On-Campus Work:
• Work on-campus three times a week to collaborate with team members, attend meetings, and participate in brainstorming sessions.
• Coordinate with other departments to gather information, photos, and updates for social media content.
• Assist in organizing and promoting on-campus events, campaigns, and initiatives through social media channels.

REQUIREMENTS
• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant Certificate program or above (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, etc.).
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
• Proficiency in content creation tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
• Experience with social media management platforms, particularly Buffer, is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas for social media content.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
