JOB DETAILS:
Mponde Holding Company Limited (MHCL) is incorporated as Limited Liability Company established under the Companies Act Cap 212. The Company is solely owned by the Public Entities. The MHCL head office is located at Plot 38 Kweminyasa – Mponde, Bumbuli District Council in Tanga Region. The Company owns a tea-processing factory at Mponde and deals with the purchase of green tea leaves and processing the same.

Main Responsibilities
• To provide agriculture extension services to the company farms, individual farmers and those within AMCOS around Lushoto and Korogwe District.
• Organizing plucking time table and daily communication with AMCOS
• Organize field days and visit tours to and from field class/factory visit.
• To attend workshops, training and conferences with all company departments.
• To provide a link between transport officer, farmers and factory manager for smooth running of the factory.
• Promotes good agricultural practices such as plucking, handling and transportation to ensure budgeted volume of high quality leaf is achieved
• Provides green leaf projections to be incorporated to production budget;
• Promotes good relationship with neighbors and other stakeholders to create harmony
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Academic qualification
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in agriculture general or any related discipline.

Work experience
• Candidate shall have at least three years of relevant work experience in reputable Institution. Basic knowledge of weed and pests’ identification of green leaf and control, Knowledge of soil testing and fertilizer application in Tea, Ability to live and work independently in rural area with prolonged hours.
