POST QUANTITY SURVEYOR II – 2 POST

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To advise his/her seniors on all matters related to quantity surveying and contractual aspects;
• To prepare bills of quantities;
• To provide required data for preparations of construction contract documents and contract agreements;
• To prepare of financial reports;
• To participate in cost reconciliations for the projects with other directorates;
• To participate in evaluation of tenders;
• To prepare preliminary cost estimates on completion of sketch drawings;
• To ensure cost – control of construction projects;
• To take full measurement and prepare of final accounts (as per contract agreement) on completion of a project;
• To prepare and compile tender bid documents;
• To prepare and manage projects such as cash flows and performance indicators, and manage and evaluate variations;
• To prepare valuations and cost projections of the assignments to meet requirements of work in progress;
• To inspect site for collection of information for monthly statements;
• To prepare project financial reports that shows areas with risk;
• To prepare project close out report in collaborations with the project team; and
• To perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in any of the following; Quantity Survey, Building Economics, Construction Management, Building Survey or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Must be registered with AQRB as a Professional Quantity Surveyor.
