JOB DETAILS:
Duties and Responsibilities
• Control of crop and plant pests;
• Collect pricing and produce data Weekly and monthly,
• Collect weekly product / market access data,
• Conduct training of agricultural experts,
• Conduct quality inspection and use of inputs and tools,
• Monitoring of market commodity market trends,
• Conduct training on better soil and water conservation,
• Provide information on new technologies to stakeholders,
• Prepare / write implementation reports for the sub-sector,
• To manage / develop the profession of production of vegetables, fruits, flowers and other crops,
• Managing / developing quality seed production,
• Preparing, preparing, packing and distributing quality seeds,
• Testing for diseases on seeds,
• Conduct inspection of new seeds in collaboration with seed researchers prior to approval,
• Conduct training to produce vegetables, flowers and spices,
• To encourage the production of horticultural products,
• To conduct a small study of the crops suitable for cultivation in the area of irrigated agriculture.
• Conducting soil research,
• Encourage the establishment of farmer / irrigated groups,
• Produce basic seeds after being produced by researchers,
• Operating / managing seed testing and laboratory testing laboratories to remove any ambiguity on seeds,
• To perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by his supervisor.

Qualification and Experience
• Graduates with a Bachelor of Agriculture or Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Degree from Sokoine Agricultural University or other Government Recognized Colleges
