Sumbawanga Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (SUWASA) is an autonomous utility which was established under section 3(1) of Cap.27i2 of 1997, as reviewed by Sect. 60 of Water supply and sanitation Act.No.12 of 2009. Sumbawanga Urban water Supply is charged with the overall responsibility of operation and management of clean water supply and sanitation services in Surnbawanga urban areas within the municipality. Sumbawanga urban Water Supply performs its duties under the supervision of Executive Board of Directors with function and Responsibilities which stipulated in the water works ordinances and MOU..

JOB DETAILS:
The Authority is seeking for qualified and highly motivated human resource to fill the position mentioned below. The qualified Candidates shall be recruited on a renewable contract term of Three years period. The employment contract can be charged from contract term to permanent and pensionable term at the end of the-15¢ period of the contract, this will depend on the performance of the employee.

Qualifications

• Holder of a Diploma/ FTC in Water Resources or its equivalent from a recognized and ea. reputable Institution and must be a computer literate.
  
• Age: 25 - 40 years
  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare documentations of all water customers.
  
• Follow u p to ensure that all water leakages are repaired timely.
  
• Assist in investigating causes of water loss and makes necessary rectification
  
• Conduct Water connections to new customers as scheduled.
  
• Monitor and report unauthorized walor connections and water distribution faults.
  
• Monitor and report sewerage pipe faults to responsible officers.
  
• Carly out Water disconnections for customers with debts and reconnections for those who clear their debts.
  
• Attend to customers complains regarding water shortage and other problems
  
• Monitor to ensure that all customers get water supplies according to the rationing program; and
  
• Perform any other duties related to the above assigned by superiors.
