POST TECHNICIAN II – WATER LABORATORY – 4 POST

EMPLOYER Tanga Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority(Tanga-Uwasa)

Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversees the operations of water treatment plant;
• Carries out laboratory tests in accordance with set systems and procedures;
• Prepares laboratory test reports in accordance with set standards;
• Maintains data-bases on laboratory tests;
• Monitors trends in test results and advises the Water Production Engineer in all aspects that might have an impact on the quality of water produced;
• Monitors the quality of raw water and treated water;
• Monitors the quality of water chemicals and promptly advise the Water Production Engineer accordingly;
• Prepares periodic reports outlining the performance of the laboratory and treatment plant;
• Comply with ISO requirements on the daily activities;
• Performs such other related duties as may be assigned by the Water Production Engineer from time to time.

Qualification and Experience
Holder FTC/Diploma in Water Laboratory Technology from a recognized Institution.
