Mbeya Water supply and sanitation Authority (Mbeya WSSA) is autonomous water supply organization mandated to forward water and sewerage disposal services within the urban area of Mbeya city. it was established in January 1998 under section 3(i) of Act No.8 OF i997, repealed by Act No.i2 of 2009.To adequately fulfill its objectives and in line with the expansion of activities Mbeya WSSA is now inviting applications from suitably quailed and self-motivated Tanzanians of high personal integrity to apply for the Following positions.

ZONE COMMERCIAL OFFICER II- (5 Posts)

ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Appointed by 2 Management
Reports to: Zone Officer in charge
Supervises Customer care, Control/Repair Team, Meter Readers
Salary Scale UWSA 5

QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounts, Procurement Human Resource, Sociology and / or any other related fields with experience of at least 1 year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
1. Major
Ensure that business in growing by ensuring that customer base is increasing. simultaneously with the increase of the water demand level and the monthly billing is on the rising side

Specific

• To know all details of your customers (Account Numbers, Names & location) within your zone.
• Keep customer database records & perform continuous customer's survey updating the records regularly.
• Sensitize the community for efficient use of water, safeguarding the water supply and sewerage systems, water meters and conserving the environment
• Mobilization & campaign for new water connections. This is in order to affect the expansion of the customer base and thus the revenue potential.
• Mobilization of disconnected customers to revive their water services, also to revive moribund and dormant accounts.
• Work closely with other zone in charges officers and heads of departments/sections in order to facilitate the working modalities and hence achieve Authority's perfections.
• Ensure all active customers in your zone are billed on monthly basis and every customer gets water bill at the end of the month the value of the bills should justify the actual quantity of water consumed by each customer
• Create customer awareness, education and sensitization on payment of their bills on time.
