JOB DETAILS:
Career Options Africa Group is a HR Consultancy firm specialized in Recruitment, HR outsourcing and Immigration support in Africa with offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Nigeria, South Africa and South Sudan.

THE JOB
We are seeking to fill the position of accountant to join our team. The individual will work closely with our internal accountant to ensure accurate financial records and support various accounting functions.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings.
• Monitor and reconcile petty cash transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of financial analysis and forecasts.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support their needs.
• Assist with audits and other external financial inquiries as needed.
• Any other additional duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
The job holder should have the following qualifications.
1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance.
2. Must have completed CPA Level 1
3. Must have at least two years of experience in the same role.
4. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
