Board Directorship Positions
The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange PLC (DSE) is looking for persons with competence, knowledge and experience in financial markets, corporate governance practices, advocacy for policy development to serve in its Board of Directors as a representative of the individuals' (minority) shareholders.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Set and maintain DSE vision, mission, objectives and values;
• Develop, promote and monitor implementation of DSE strategic objectives, plans and E structures;
• Ensure compliance to good corporate governance practices;
• Ensure accountability and compliance to laws by the DSE;
• Maintain proper strategic oversight for DSE operations;
• Select, advise and support the Chief Executive; and
• Maintain effective Board performance.

QUALIFICATIONS
An applicant should:
• possess personal qualities to make substantive contributions to Board deliberations;
• have at least 10 years' experience in financial markets;
• be a graduate of a recognized university, coupled with business acumen;
• have proven track record in advocacy for policy development;
• have proven high moral and ethical character;
• have relevant experience in good corporate governance practices;
• have no potential or actual continuing conflict of interest in relation to DSE mandates and
• operations; and.
• have no any criminal record or history of bankruptcy.
