JOB DETAILS:
Sales & Territory Management:
1. Sell ANDO products and services to the corporate sector in the assigned territory to achieve targets/quotas by representing the company’s products in ANDO Roofing defined segments.
a) Work with architects and designers so that, wherever possible, the company’s products are specified in the original planning documents.
b) Interpret data obtained from lead generation, industry/market data, research, and other reporting
c) Consistently drive product performance to achieve market share and sales growth.
2. Develop and maintain territory plans to achieve company and regional business plan objectives and sales goals as provided by the Sales and Marketing Director.
3. Establish and maintain positive customer relations by regularly meeting and consulting with current and potential customers
a) Build a strong rapport with key decision makers within customers’ organizations
b) Participate in local building and roofing associated trade shows
c) Be well versed in customer business operations and their need for products, intangibles, key personnel and customers
4. Provide information concerning marketing opportunities and competitive products and companies to regional and corporate managers
a) Recommend changes in company products, practices and marketing activities to capitalize on current competitive situations in the territory
5. Operate territory business within a given expense budgetary limit
Customer Service & Support
6. Manage customer complaints in accordance with company policy
7. Coordinate with accounting personnel to keep customer accounts receivable current
8. Provide technical advice to current and potential customers through:
a) Distributing technical literature
b) Arrange demonstrations and training sessions
ADMINISTRATION
9. On a timely basis, submit all written and electronically transmitted sales reports and forecasts
10. Participate in prescribed sales, technical, and product training programs and direction for achievement of sales objectives
11. Manage the information database on customers so that management and internal partners can more effectively assist in matching customer needs with product offerings
JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education
University graduate preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
• Strong proven ability to engage in Corporate sales
• Knowledge of roofing products and components
• Excellent Interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Strong Work Ethic with Leadership aptitude and an organized, results oriented style
• Problem solving and Decision Making Capabilities
• Planning and Prioritizing Skills
• Strong desire to expand knowledge, skills and experience
WORK EXPERIENCE
5+ years of sales experience selling products to wholesale, builders or contractors
MENTAL DEMANDS
· Enthusiastic, Self-Starter, Ability to work within a team environment
MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO:
• Communicate effectively and tactfully with customers, managers and other levels of personnel, in person and on the telephone
• Understand full range of roofing products & installation procedures
• Work with roofing contractors & distributors
