JOB DETAILS:
Position: Camp Crew/housekeeper
Reports to: Camp Manager
Wilderness Wayo Limited is a prominent player in the tourism industry in Tanzania, specializing in providing unique and authentic safari experiences. We operate a number of high-end camps in the Northern safari circuit in Tanzania. We operate a substantial DMC service, travel shop and activity department. We also run a large community and conservation initiative where positive tourism aids in the betterment to the lives of people and wildlife. Wilderness Wayo Ltd is one of the leading and most respected safari and camp operators in Tanzania.
As a Housekeeper your role is to Assist and participate to the packing, move and setup of camp. To assist camp manager and in the smooth running to the camp’s operation in order to exceed guest’s expectations.
Primary roles
• To set up camps in their seasonal locations
• To level grounds to accommodate tents and slash grasses where needed
• To pack camp after each seasonal seasons
• To prepare the main areas in the morning after guests are out on game drives
• To prepare the main areas in the evenings before guests arrive back from game drives
• To clean and prepare tents and bathroom facilities
• To ensure that the camp walkways and surrounding areas are always clean
• Refuse bins to be emptied daily, ensuring that the relevant departments are sorting it into categories
• To ensure that there is always enough cleaning products in camp
• To ensure that there is always clean linen in camp
• To inform maintenance or camp manager of any repairs that need to be done in the mess and guest tents
• To look after company equipment at all times and report on damage or malfunction of equipment.
• To assist in the Arusha town office when you are not in Camp in any duty the office asks.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Certificate in Hotel and Hospitality.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience within the Housekeeping position.
• Ability to fluently speak and write English
