About UDOM Endowment Fund
The Board of Trustees of the UDOM Endowment Fund (UDOM Trust) was launched in November, 2014 by His Excellency Benjamin W. Mkapa the retired President of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Chancellor of the University of Dodoma. The mission of the UDOM Trust is to contribute in fostering quality education, research and public services to the University of Dodoma through stewardship and management of funds and other charities received from different sources. In the past three (3) years, the Board of Trustees has been working very hard to set up the Trust by ensuring all very important policy documents which provide direction of the UDOM Trust are in place. It has been responsible in ensuring that activities of the UDOM Trust are in compliant to the laws of the country.

JOB PURPOSE
To provide leadership and direction and to manage the development of UDOM’s Trust within the endorsed strategies of the Board of Trustees in order to meet the UDOM Trust’s objectives. The position reports to the Chair and Board of Trustees of UDOM

JOB DIMENSIONS

• Provide leadership and direction in the formulation and achievement of the Trust’s vision and objectives
  
• Develop and secure opportunities for the future growth of Trust through fund development and fundraising
  
• Build the profile of UDOM Trust amongst its key target audiences through a combination of private networks and Dress profile
  
• Ensure effective and robust management and administration of UDOM Trust
  
• Serves as a Secretary to the Board of Trustees and responsible for preparing and presenting to the Board quarterly performance reports and other information as may be requested from time to time by the Board.
  
• Provide leadership and the appropriate environment for staff to ensure their individual and collective potential is fully realized for the benefit of UDOM Trust and its stakeholders

CANDIDATE PROFILE:
At minimum, a master’s Degree in business studies, Management, Economics or Law is required. A professional qualification such as CPA (T), CMA, PCS, ACCA, or practicing Advocate. A strong foundation of Tanzanian Financial and Investment laws and Regulations as well as International Financial Standards is highly desirable.

Desirable Experience

• Career experience of ten (10) years with at least five (5) years in a top leadership position with a large grant making organization or equivalent.
  
• An understanding of the voluntary sector and familiarity with philanthropy
  
• A track record in delivering growth of an organization (or a division within it)
  
• Shall have ability to communicate exceptionally well in oral and written form. I
  
• Must have excellent communication skills in both Swahili and English.
  
• Experienced and enthusiastic in communicating or disseminating information through various social network platforms.
  
• Experience in building an organization or a major program preferably Endowment Fund or Trusts from the ground up including hiring all staff.

REMUNERATION:
Salary package offered is highly competitive and Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
