JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary To treat patients, provide health education to patients and conduct counseling. .

  Tasks and Responsibilities
• Diagnoses patient condition and prescribes medication and treatment
• Admits patients requiring special care for further investigations and treatment
• Orders for laboratory tests to find the cause of the problem and determine best course of treatment
• Performs minor procedures
• Promotes health education together with other health professionals
• Provides pre and post-counseling for HIV cases
• Maintains confidentiality and impartiality
• Keeps up to date with medical developments
• Makes rounds in the patient wards
• Prepares weekly and monthly work reports

Education & Qualification: Form six leaver and holder of clinical officer certificate from a recognized institution

Experience: At least two years under an experienced medical officer Induction time required

Knowledge and Skill Sets/Competencies: Good communicator, committed to his/her work, ready to learn new developments
