North Mara Gold Mine, a fully owned subsidiary of Twiga Minerals Corporation which is ultimately owned by Barrick Gold Corporation and the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, requeststhe submission of expressions of interest from reputable, experienced, certified, and qualified parties to provide the following services:

Consultancy Services for Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Studies

Pre-qualification Criteria

1. Project Sponsor/Lead with at least 25 years of experience in mining and environmental fields related to mine closure, with demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects.
2. Geochemist with at least 25 years of experience in environmental geochemistry and geochemical modelling, and particular experience in ARD/ML hazard assessment.
3. Geotechnical Engineers with at least 20 years of experience in geotechnical investigations, stability analysis, and material characterization.
4. Hydrogeologist with at least 10 years of experience in hydrological and hydrogeochemical modelling.
5. Environmental Engineers with at least 10 years of experience in tailings management, mine closure, and cover system design.
6. Professionals with at least 10 years of experience developing and implementing monitoring plans and long-term maintenance strategies.
7. Senior reviewers and consultants with at least 20 years of closure reporting experience and a background in geochemical, hydrogeological and geotechnical considerations.
8. A track record of at least 5 years of similar and relevant mine closure studies, e.g., geochemical and geotechnical characterization of TSF and waste rock dumps, pit lake modelling and stability assessment, and cover system design, needs to be demonstrated.
9. Demonstration of similar projects with other Barrick operations and sites will be considered an asset.
10. Local content compliance and excellent safety records with relevant standards and procedures

Expression of Interest

If your company meets the pre-qualification criteria and would like to be considered to receive the invitation to tender (ITT), an expression of interest (EOI) including your company profile and evidence of compliance with pre-qualification criteria may be submitted to nm.proposal@barrick.com

Applicants must quote the tender description(s) and the respective reference no.(s) in the subject line of the email.

NB: The Company reserves the right to invite any other supplier(s) who did not submit an EOI through this advertisement.

Pre-qualification of any company submitting an “Expression of Interest” shall be at the sole discretion of NMGM. If you do not hearfrom us in 21 days afterthe deadline date, please consideryour submission unsuccessful.
