Job Description
Traidcraft Exchange, a development charity organization specializing in making trade work for the poor, in partnership with Tanzania Federation of Disabled Peoples Organizations (SHIYAWATA) is implementing an agri-business development programme titled ’Promoting the Inclusion of People with Disabilities in Cocoa, Coffee and Palm Oil Value Chains’in Five districts of Mbeya, Songwe, Morogoro and Dar es salaam regions of Tanzania.

Traidcraft Exchange is looking for a qualified Consultant who will work closely with Traidcraft, SHIVYAWATA and other likeminded stakeholders to design the Behavioral Change Communication (BCC) strategies for positive improvement in community knowledge, attitude, Behavior and practices towards participation by people with disabilities in the coffee, Cocoa and Palm oil value chains.
A consultant will have the responsibility of developing the Behavioural Change Communication (BCC) strategies and conducting training to Trainers of Trainers on implementation of BCC strategy. See attached Terms of Reference (TOR) for more details.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Prospective applicants should have the following qualifications;
  
• A university degree holder in Social science or any related disciplines with knowledge of Behavioral Change Communication strategies
  
• Experience of not less than three years in developing Behavioral Change Communication (BCC) Strategies
  
• Reference of his/her past work, institution supported/consulted
  
• Team player and leadership skills to facilitate the strategy processes to all members and stakeholders
  
• Experience of working with people with Disabilities will be an added advantage
  
• Good in spoken and written English and Kiswahili
  
• Conversant both in verbal and written communication skills with a team orientation and strong collaborative skills
  
• Qualified persons with Disabilities who have knowledge in Behavioral
• Change Communication Strategy have an added advantage
  

Renumeration: Attractive but negotiable
