JOB DETAILS:
We seek enthusiastic, dedicated, and detail-oriented Content Managers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will oversee user-generated content and ensure that discussions remain respectful and on-topic and adhere to our community guidelines set by JamiiForums. This role is critical in maintaining trust, fostering a positive environment, and engaging our community members.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, review, and moderate all user-generated content to ensure compliance with JamiiForums’ community guidelines and our internal policies.
• Actively engage with users to encourage meaningful discussions and provide support.
• Identify and address inappropriate content, including spam, offensive language, and mis- and disinformation and user reports effectively
• Facilitate productive discussions by encouraging respectful dialogue and meaningful discussions and intervening (providing support) when necessary.
• Collaborate with other team members and the community management team to enforce set rules.
• Analyze user behavior and community trends to improve content moderation strategies and user experience.
• Assist in creating and curating content that fosters engagement and community growth.

Qualifications
• Proven experience as a moderator or community manager in online platforms or social media platforms, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of online community dynamics and digital communication.
• Ability to remain neutral and unbiased while managing discussions.
• Familiarity with content management systems and moderation tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, high level of attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations with tact and professionalism.
• Passion for online communities and a commitment to fostering a positive user experience.

Preferred Skills
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to track moderation effectiveness.
• Knowledge of current events, popular culture, and topics relevant to JamiiForums’ user base.
• Multilingual abilities, especially in Swahili and English.
