Roles and Responsibilities
The Country Manager will be responsible for attaining both top line and bottom-line targets prescribed by the directors. He/She will lead all aspects of the business in Tanzania.
Procurement:
• Take a comprehensive look at products already registered/under registration and get familiar with all respective suppliers.
• Identify new products to be added to the portfolio and identify manufacturers and initiate registrations.
• Mastering the supply chain and ordering optimal quantities at the right price is absolutely vital.
Sales Distribution & Marketing:
• Review and revamp the sales and distribution team.
• Recruit effective personnel with good salary/incentives.
• Set targets and a monitoring system of achievements/rewards.
• Interact personally with the top 100 customers.
• Review prices constantly to ensure competitive edge and maintaining market share in pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, NGOs, Big Corporate clinics.
• Quickly get familiar with the Doctors and Medical Professionals and initiate systems, procedures for conducting ethical promotions across Tanzania.
• Explore feasibility of opening additional outlets across Tanzania.
Recruitment of personnel & expansion of Distribution Outlets:
• Review existing staff and focus on restructuring/recruiting a professional & effective team across all areas of the organization.
• Decisively and fairly lead staff and employees and maintain HR harmony.
MOH Tender Business:
• Quickly understand the intricacies of business and acquire readiness/supply sources to participate across various tenders from MOH.
PR & Cordial Relations:
• Actively work to cultivate cordial relationships across different departments of MOH including at the highest levels. Similarly, with other relevant government and institutional bodies.
• Preserve and promote the good image of the company
Commercial Acumen and Control:
• Ensure proper systems are in place in every department of the company.
• Ensure there is no theft/pilferage of goods or financial or banking fraud.
Creativity & Innovation:
• Be a creative thinker
• Identify business opportunities, introduce new products / suppliers, seek high margin products
• Seek innovative ways to energize the distribution and marketing efforts
• Motivate all staff, employees.

• Bachelor degree in Agriculture and similar course
• Fluent in english and swahili,
