The Opportunity
In its pursuit of excellence in leadership and management capacity building across Africa, ESAMI is seeking visionary, strategic, and seasoned corporate leaders to fill the positions of Director General and Deputy Director General.

Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for ESAMI
• Represent ESAMI in high-level forums
• Foster excellence in product and service delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Drive organizational performance and growth
• Strategically position ESAMI’s core offerings (executive education, business education, research, and management consultancy)

Deputy Director General (DDG)

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director General, the DDG is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of ESAMI’s activities and programs, ensuring operational processes are aligned with client and stakeholder needs. The DDG also oversees academic and executive programs, research, and management consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development of ESAMI’s strategic plan
• Oversee governance, compliance, and operational management
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and customer satisfaction efforts
• Support student services and promote student success

Key Qualifications:
• PhD/Doctorate with 10 years of senior management experience
• Relevant professional qualification
• Registered member of a relevant professional body
• Must be a national of an ESAMI member state

Essential Attributes for Both Roles (Director General & Deputy Director General)
• Experience in working with or heading a regional or international organization
• Demonstrated experience in the training industry in Africa
• A network of business contacts, including potential funders
• Details of consultancy assignments developed and won in the past 3 years

Postgraduate Degree
