East African Science and Technology Commission (EASTECO) is an established Institution of the East African Community (EAC) whose member States are Republic of Rwanda, Republic of Kenya, Republic of Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Republic of Burundi and Republic of South Sudan with its Headquarters in Kigali-Rwanda.
The core function of EASTECO is to promote and coordinate the development, management and application of Science and Technology to support regional integration and socio-economic development.
This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and result-driven professionals who are citizens of East African Community Partner States. Citizens from Republics of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan and United Republic of Tanzania should apply for the position of Executive Secretary, while Citizens from the Republics of Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and United Republic of Tanzania to apply for the Position of Deputy Executive Secretary (Head of Programs). Both Positions are tenable at the EASTECO Secretariat in Kigali and both positions are subject to application of EAC Quota System.

Terms and Conditions The position of Executive Secretary is tenable for a contract of Five years non- renewable while that of Deputy Executive Secretary Programs is for a contract of Three Years renewable once.

Academic Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in a relevant field of Science and Technology or a Master’s degree in Management and Administration. Honors roll in Research and Development and other relevant qualifications related to programme development will be an added advantage.
Work Experience
• At least 15 years of working experience in the field of Science and Technology of which eight (8) should be at a senior level in a relevant field, experience as a manager/coordinator of programs.
