JOB DETAILS:
As a Digital Marketing and Web Developer, you will be a key player in developing and executing comprehensive digital strategies that enhance brand visibility, attract customers, and drive bookings. You will be responsible for website development and optimization, content strategy and creation (in collaboration with Content Creator and Strategic Digital Marketer), social media management, SEO/SEM campaigns, and email marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Website Development and Management:
o Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly and responsive websites for Planet Lodges and Good Earth Tours, ensuring optimal performance and search engine optimization (SEO).
o Implement A/B testing and data-driven optimization strategies to enhance website conversion rates.
o Manage website content, ensuring it is engaging, informative, and up-to-date.
• Digital Marketing Strategy and Execution:
o Develop and implement integrated digital marketing campaigns encompassing SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and display advertising.
o Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and audience targeting to inform marketing strategies.
o Manage social media channels, creating engaging content and building brand communities.
o Track and analyze campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to optimize strategies.
• Content Creation:
o Produce high-quality written and visual content, including blog posts, articles, social media updates, website copy, and email newsletters.
o Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to source compelling content and ensure brand consistency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Proven experience (4-8 years) in digital marketing and website development.
• Solid understanding of SEO/SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and online advertising best practices.
• Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, project and time management skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with the travel and tourism industry, particularly the safari business in Tanzania.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini or others.
• Experience with CRM platforms or email distribution platforms.
• Knowledge of content marketing including blogging and copywriting principles.
