JOB DETAILS:
Our client is an international insurance broker; a trusted pan-African advisor that meets uncertainties of tomorrow by delivering risk and human capital solutions today. The vacancy is of a Divisional Director and will sit on the Senior Management Team, responsible for providing sound underwriting decisions and maintaining relations with existing clientele.
Our client seeks the highest calibre of talent, individuals who harness their creativity and are focused on results. As a market leader in the industry the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of organisations who require customized solutions to modern day challenges
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic planning and review of division performance and direction Set and monitor division standards and performance objectives of the various units
• Goal setting and performance review /appraisal of direct reports
• Talent management; coaching and mentoring
• Ensure delivery of positive results
• Develop necessary networks for business opportunities and operational efficiencies
• Review reports and attend service meetings to major clients
• Prospect meetings with major clients
• Attend internal review /reporting meetings
• Attend external meetings with clients and providers Issues resolution emanating from clients or provider complaints
• Respond to email & telephone queries
• Approve payments
• Conducting risk analysis and providing sound underwriting advice
Qualifications and Experience
o Masters degree in related field
• Business related professional qualification
o 10 years experience, 6 of which should be in senior management
o Must be a certified insurer
o Experience working within the insurance industry in the capacity of underwriting
