JOB DETAILS:
Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform all hospital medical work related to various ailments including pediatric diseases, gynecology and general and emergency surgery;
• Provide and manage health education as well as improve community health in Districts and Regions or their workplace;
• Detecting, monitoring and preventing outbreaks;
• Maintain data and use it as directed in the principles of MTUHA;
• Planning and evaluating health services in its workplace;
• Training students and staff present in the workplace;
• Supervise and direct the staff under him;
• Teaching students in health colleges located in his workplace;
• Design and conduct research and disseminate results;
• Design and prepare strategies to enhance the quality of service of his profession;
• Prepare health care plans and budget estimates;
• Participate in, review and improve health services (medical audit and quality improvement);
• Provide outreach services in its District / Region; and
• To perform such other duties as may be assigned to him or her by his or her supervisor for his or her education, experience and skills.

Qualification and Experience
• Applicant should have obtained a Doctorate / Dentistry degree from a recognized Government / Universities and completed an internship of at least 12 months and obtained registration from the Medical Council of Tanganyika (Medical Council of Tanganyika).
