Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre (TFNC) is the source of the Government’s policy of first phase of dealing with the problem of malnutrition in the country. Following the introduction of the 1967 Arusha Declaration attitude was to strengthen social services, particularly in rural areas. In 1968 former President the late Mwalimu J. K. Nyerere repeated emphasis on the importance of nutrition in the development of people and the nation as a whole. That was a major impetus in the fight against malnutrition in the country. The Ministry of Health has already had a nutrition unit. Ministry of Agriculture and Education have introduced their units’ nutrition. By the year 1969, 27 districts in 16 regions were initiated its units nutrition

Holder of at least Form IV Certificate, valid Driving License Class “C” and must have a clean records in driving with at least four (4) years of working experience.
