JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
The Economist will play a crucial role in the Economists Talk Magazine Unit, contributing to the analysis of Tanzania’s economic landscape. This role involves comprehensive research and interpretation of key economic indicators to produce insightful content for the monthly publication.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-depth research on economic indicators such as inflation rates, money supply, import/export rates, investment development, GDP growth rates, debts development, and business/economic research.
• Analyze and interpret economic data to provide clear insights into Tanzania’s economic situation.
• Collaborate with the Senior Economist and the editorial team to generate high-quality content for the Economists Talk Magazine.
• Stay updated on global economic trends and their potential impact on Tanzania’s economy.
• Present economic findings in a clear and accessible manner for diverse audiences.

Personal Specifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in economic research or analysis.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and economic modeling.
