BESIX Ballast Nedam (BBN) Limited, the CONTRACTOR for the Engineering, procurement and Construction of the Jetty and Load Out Facilities in the Tanga Bay for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project, invites application for Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor

Purpose and scope of assignment.
Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating a team of Electricians and ensure the successful completion of projects assignments. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to lead and motivate a team to complete projects assignments on time and within budget.

Job responsibilities
• Preparing and assigning work schedules.
• Supervising and motivating team members.
• Ensuring proper handling and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Maintaining safety standards and adhering to electrical and instrumentation codes.
• Providing help in installing electrical and instrumentation equipment like panel boards, enclosures, cable tray, cable pulling, cable termination, earthing system, lighting system or any other electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and instrumentation issues/malfunctioning as and when required.
• Reviewing work procedures and suggesting improvement measures.
• Monitoring and handling inventory purchases.
• Estimating and preparing budgets.
• Documenting all inventory purchases.
• Hiring, training, and evaluating performances of new employees.
• Coordinating with on-site personnel like electricians, contractors, and architects to ensure
• proper workflow.
• Supervising on-site electrical and instrumentation operations and reporting any major issues
• to the management.
• Conducting labor and material estimates.
• Inspecting and interpreting any remodeling projects.
• Providing moral and technical support when needed.

Job Qualification, Experience and Skills
• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven work experience in the Electrical and Instrumentation department or any construction company.
• Familiarity with the electrical and instrumentation system, tools, and equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Displaying leadership qualities.
• An eye for detail and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Knowledge of safety and industry standards.
• Highly motivated.
• Analytical and decision-making skills.
• Possessing sound technical knowledge.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other technical departments.
• Ability to work at long hours and in extreme weather conditions.
